We have been so encouraged by the amazing response of our episode of First Time Fixer on Magnolia Network. If you haven’t checked out “Taking On a Carolina Clunker”, check it out! You can score a free 7-day trial of Discovery + and stream it right now! We’ve heard from so many friends who thought the team did a great job of sharing our family’s personality, and of course, my passion for saving money along the way. We even got the attention of several media outlets who wanted to cover our show!
FOX Carolina
Reporter Carrie Weimer has covered our family several times. When Sammy sold elephants downtown for Set Free and when the kids rang bells for the Salvation Army, she was there! So when she saw my post about our show on Magnolia Network, she asked if she could come out and do an interview. She even stayed and did live shots for the 4pm and 5pm newscasts outside our home! I think our neighbors were wondering what was up!
Your Carolina
I returned to my roots for an appearance on WSPA’s Your Carolina program. I enjoyed my live interview with Megan Heidlberg and Jamarcus Gaston.
I also got to share about a giveaway I have happening with Habitat ReStore. Guess the number of nails and screws in this jar for a chance to win a $200 gift card to Habitat ReStore of Greenville County!

Sioux City Journal
My hometown newspaper ran an article in the Sunday Living section of the paper. I grew up reading the Sioux City Journal so it’s always fun to make an appearance there. They also ran another version of the article in The Weekender, which is a free supplement.
GVL Today
Around 60,000 people start their day with GVL Today and on Friday, January 28th, they featured a Q&A with Tim and I for their daily email. Editor Kyle Edwards did an amazing job with the piece! I appreciated the opportunity to give shout outs to some of my favorite people and places in Greenville.
Tim and I appreciate all the kind words we’ve received and we look forward to seeing what comes next in our home renovation journey!
